Skincare for Winter 2026
We approach skincare as a form from a culinary perspective and see everything we make as nourishment. We choose only minimally processed, ethically-sourced, and plant-based oils and butters that have been used in culinary and medicinal practices for centuries.
Persephone’s Ball topicals are made to give human skin a break from the noise of unhelpful chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and unnecessary additives. It’s skincare created for actual, living skin. Our diehard, repeat customers have historically lived with reactive, chronically dry, stressed skin.
Face Balm
Face is a straight forward, fast to absorb balm that helps skin regulate inflammation, heal, and regenerate. It’s ingredients are derived from unrefined, uncultivated, edible crops that contain the right balance of bioavailable fatty acids and bioactive polyphenols
Cupuaçu seed butter’s ability to absorb up to 400% of its weight in water is why Face Balm and Yarrow Hydrosol work so well together.
-
Waterless, preservative free, and two ingredients. Face is made to give reactive skin less to react to. Rewild and heal.
-
Kalahari Melon Oil (Citrulluslanatus) seed oil.
Kalahari melon seed oil’s vitamin E content acts like a backstage pass to the skin’s intercellular matrix. The key is the oil’s lipid-loving organic compounds (γ-Tocopherol and a-Tocopherol) which slide below the surface and team up with the body’s enzymes to offer up antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support.
Cupuacu (Theobroma grandiflorum) Butter
Cupuacu seed butter is also an elite member of the team of fats that are capable of slipping past the outermost protective layers of skin to aid in wound repair and cellular regeneration. As a triglyceride, Cupuaçu seed butter is buoyant with just the right ratio of saturated and unsaturated fats to take on all the roles: a skin softening emollient; a protective occlusive; and a humectant that draws moisture to the skin.

You’ll need warm, clean hands.
Spoon a pea size amount of face into the palm of your hand. Add a teaspoon of distilled water and mix well.
Massage in, starting at the cheekbones, moving up and then starting at the jawline and moving up and then working outward.
Finally, use your fingers to firmly sweep the outline of your face from the forehead down to the neck to your collar bone.
Listen to your skin, some days you’ll need more. Some days you’ll need less.
Yarrow Hydrosol
Yarrow is a prolific medicinal plant with a portfolio of beneficial compounds that have antiseptic, analgesic, and antioxidant properties. Historically, the plant has been used for stomach upset and wound healing. Birds use the leaves in their nests as an insect repellent.
-
Yarrow Hydrosol is often calming to tight and inflamed skin. As a spritz, it’s refreshing and cleansing. When mixed with Face Balm, the Yarrow Hydrosol’s benefits are brought below the surface by the water loving Cupuaçu seed butter.

Ponderosa Pine Hydrosol
When the windstorm hit just before the holidays, it could not have been at a worse time for many of us in Leavenworth. But there were also a ton of downed trees.
So to the still we go. We’d never have access to the needles and immature cones that grow so very high up. The Ponderosa pines we are harvesting from are about 100-years old that fell on our road. In this distillate is a honied venerability.
-
Alpha Pinine is known to stimulate and enliven the brain. It’s also known as an antiseptic, good for literally clearing the air without destroying its chemistry.
-
Ponderosa pine vapor, re condensed.
-
Use it at your desk to chase away the afternoon sleepies or to reset the vibe of a creative project.
