$35.00

November Face Balm This batch of Face balm is all about staying flexible. Face is usually made with Kalahari melon oil – a kinda magic oil that we’re dedicated to. But Kalahari melon seed oil was not available when we ordered oils.

Enter Meadow foam seed oil and Noni fruit seed oil. Both are rich in beneficial compounds, vitamins, and fatty acids.

Hurrah for limitations and new solutions. This balm is lovely and balanced for the change in season.

Ingredients

Raw Cupuacu seed butter is the polymath of the cosmetic butter world.  It contains just the right ratio of long chain fatty acids that take on all the roles: a skin softening emollient; a protective occlusive; and a humectant – drawing moisture to the skin.

Cucumber seed oil (cold pressed) is notoriously easy to absorb and has anti-inflammatory properties. High in linoleic acid, Cucumber seed oil is our historical go-to oil for reactive skin repair.

Meadow foam seed oil is a relatively new oil with a remarkably unique make-up of long chain fatty acids aid in cell building and repair.

Noni fruit seed oil This light, easy-easy-to-absorb, cold pressed oil has found its way onto our ingredient list. Its high linoleic acid content provides hydrating and anti inflammatory benefits.

How to apply

Put a pea size amount of face into the palm of your (warm, clean) hand. Add a teaspoon of distilled water or spritz Yarrow and mix with your finger. Massage in, starting at the cheekbones and moving up and then starting at the jawline and moving up the face and working outward. Finally, use your fingers to firmly sweep the outline of your face from the forehead down to the neck.

Listen to your skin

Your skin is alive and ever changing. It might need more balm or less.

Note

Face is made to be used on wet skin and you may need less of it than a pea size depending on where your skin is in life. Perimenopausal skin tends to want a little more balm than skin that hasn’t seen the wrong side of more than a few dawns.
