Really Good Soap
There's a scene in Roxanne, when Steve Martin begins to write his first love letter. He's swept up by the act of choosing the pen and ink that will bear the weight of his words. He abandons the salmon in the oven for the delight of writing on high quality paper. Something that will "really take the ink."
Really good soap makes the act of bathing something of a love letter. Honestly, we might have gone a little overboard in our love for soap. We have a lot of it. Here are our favorites right now:
For body: The Kokum, Ucuubu, Babassu soap. Has a minimal amount of bergamot mint essential oils. It's gentle. Sudsy (thank, Babassu). Demure looking (no flowers, no design) and the kind of honest adoration reactive skin needs.
Olive Oil & Bayberry Wax: These are fun, speckled, gentle, smell lightly of cedar wood, and are cut in easy-t0-hold rectangle bars. Who knew steam could be amazing? These bars, they're in the know.
Kokum Tamanu: I want to tell you that Kokum Tamanu soap will change your life. But it might not. Don't be surprised if it does. Tamanu makes this soap hefty, gentle, easy to rinse, and nourishing. The Kokum works like Shea would if it wanted a raise. Together, they create a gently cleansing bar that rinses clean but leaves skin feeling respected.
For Hands: Kokum coconut. It's hard, it lathers, it washes. Thanks to its high coconut oil content, it's great for stripping oil and grime off of hands. Unscented and perfect for the tasting room or kitchen.
